HIGHLANDS RANCH | The Grandview girls flag football team learned some things about Mountain Vista in last season’s Class 5A state playoffs.

The Wolves put them to use Wednesday night at Canvas Credit Union Stadium at Highlands Ranch, as they dealt the Golden Eagles their first-ever defeat.

Senior Brooke Sullivan racked up 301 yards of total offense and accounted for four touchdowns and Grandview survived a late rally by Mountain Vista, which had won all 41 games (including two state championships) it played since the Colorado High School Activities Association sanctioned the sport prior to the 2024 season.
