AURORA | Aurora is seeking feedback on future transportation options in the Fitzsimons District, which surrounds the Anschutz Medical Campus and the Fitzsimons Innovation Community.

In partnership with the Denver Regional Council of Governments, the city is conducting the Fitzsimons Transportation Solutions Study to evaluate how people travel through the area, as well as what safety and connectivity improvements might be needed.

Feedback can be submitted online at EngageAurora.org/FitzStudy, where users can share location-specific feedback using an interactive comment map through Sept. 30. The study is available in English, Spanish and Amharic.

“Feedback will help identify opportunities to make getting around safer, easier and more connected, whether driving, taking transit, walking or biking,” a press release from the city said. “The goal is to understand what is working well, where challenges exist and where improvements may be needed as the Fitzsimons District continues to grow.”

The Fitzsimons transportation study is intended to build on the city’s recently adopted Connecting Aurora multimodal transportation master plan. 

It is being funded by the Denver Regional Council of Governments’ Livable Centers Set-Aside Program.
