AURORA | A dispute Saturday night at a northwest Aurora apartment complex resulted in a man being shot and injured, seeking treatment at a nearby hospital, police said.

Police were called to an Aurora hospital at about 9:20 p.m. after a man went to the emergency room seeking treatment for a gunshot wound, according to Aurora police spokesperson Gabby Easterwood.

“The preliminary investigation determined the shooting occurred at an apartment complex in the 100 block of North Kenton Street,” Easterwood said in a statement. “Investigators believe there was an altercation before the shooting.”

Investigators say they also recovered evidence at the scene of the shooting.

No arrests have been made and police did not release details about a possible suspect.

The man was treated for a non-life threatening injury, police said.

Police said anyone with information can call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters can remain anonymous and still be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000, police said.
