AURORA | An unidentified man was shot and injured Thursday morning during what police say was some kind of dispute at a condemned apartment building in northwest Aurora.

Police were called to an apartment building at 1933 Dallas St. at about 7 a.m. after reports of shooting there.

When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot and was wounded, Aurora police spokesperson Joe Moylan said in a statement.

Police treated the man’s injuries until rescuers arrived. The man’s injuries were considered non-life-threatening and he was taken to a nearby hospital.

“Information obtained so far suggests the shooting stemmed from an argument,” Moylan said. “The suspect left the scene before officers arrived.”

Police said anyone with information can call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters can remain anonymous and still be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000, police said.
