Also among the streaming offerings worth your time this week, as selected by The Associated Press\u2019 entertainment journalists: The Netflix true crime documentary \u201cThe Crash,\u201d pop-punk paragons The All-American Rejects return with their fifth studio album and Season 2 of Stanley Tucci\u2019s gastronomic tour \u201cTucci in Italy\u201d lands on Disney+<\/p>\n

New movies to stream from May 11-17<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2014 Th\u00e9odore Pellerin slyly infiltrates the inner circle of Archie Madekwe\u2019s pop musician Oliver in the psychological thriller \u201cLurker,\u201d streaming on HBO Max on Friday, May 15. The film explores the parasocial relationship of internet fandoms, and the power dynamics within the entourage of an on-the-cusp star. It was written and directed by Emmy-winner Alex Russell (\u201cThe Bear,\u201d \u201cBeef\u201d), who looked to \u201cobsessive thrillers\u201d like \u201cWhiplash\u201d and \u201cBlack Swan\u201d for inspiration.<\/p>\n

\u2014 The Netflix true crime documentary \u201cThe Crash\u201d looks into a 2022 car crash in Ohio, in which 17-year-old Mackenzie Shirilla slammed her car into a brick building at 100 mph, killing her boyfriend and his friend, and the conflicting narratives around that night. It begins streaming Friday, May 15. Also coming to Netflix? \u201cBlack Phone 2,\u201d streaming on Saturday, May 16, which sees the return of Ethan Hawke\u2019s The Grabber (who, yes, was killed in the first movie) who is intent on getting revenge against Mason Thames four years later.<\/p>\n

New music to stream from May 11-17<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2014 On Friday, May 15, a new collection from the Colombian superstar Maluma, titled \u201cLoco x Volver,\u201d drops. It\u2019s a celebration of his culture and then some: from the reggaet\u00f3n\/dancehall hybrid \u201cPa\u2019 la seca\u201d with Ryan Castro to \u201cCon El Coraz\u00f3n\u201d with the late great Yeison Jim\u00e9nez and everything in between, these are songs that celebrate his roots while modernizing folkloric sounds.<\/p>\n

\u2014 Pop-punk paragons The All-American Rejects are back, preparing to release their fifth studio album and first full-length in nearly 15 years, since 2012\u2019s \u201cKids in the Street.\u201d Expect what they\u2019re known for: Big hooks, big chords, big choruses and bigger fun.<\/p>\n

\u2014 \u201cPop Culture Jeopardy!\u201d has a new home for its second season. The game show, hosted by Colin Jost, makes the jump to Netflix beginning Monday, with a new episode dropping each weekday through June 5. Sample categories include \u201cbummer movie endings,\u201d \u201cBroadway on the big screen\u201d and \u201cTV of the 2010s.\u201d If trending topics make up your FYP on TikTok, this one\u2019s for you.<\/p>\n

\u2014 Stanley Tucci is fresh off a world tour to promote \u201cThe Devil Wears Prada 2\u201d and now he\u2019s taking us to Italy for season two of \u201cTucci in Italy.\u201d In the new episodes, the actor visits regions like Sicily, Campania and Sardinia to meet with locals and eat food native to those areas. Travel along on Disney+ and Hulu beginning Tuesday.<\/p>\n

\u2014 Fans have to wait until 2027 for a new season of \u201cHeated Rivalry\u201d but there\u2019s another series available in the hockey romance genre. \u201cOff Campus\u201d debuts its first season on Prime Video on Wednesday. It\u2019s about the love lives of a group of college hockey players. Each season follows a different relationship. The leads of Season 1 are Belmont Cameli and Ella Bright, while Season 2, starring Antonio Cipriano and India Fowler, begins filming very soon.<\/p>\n

\u2014 Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser\u2019s long-awaited \u201cYellowstone\u201d spinoff debuts Friday, May 15, on Paramount+. \u201cDutton Ranch\u201d takes place one year after the events of the series finale of \u201cYellowstone\u201d and characters Beth and Rip have relocated to Texas. They\u2019ve got a new ranch now but if we\u2019ve learned anything from the other shows, owning land can be very dangerous. Annette Bening and Ed Harris also star.<\/p>\n

\u2014 U.K. developer Supermassive Games has built its reputation on horror gems like \u201cUntil Dawn\u201d and \u201cThe Quarry\u201d that evoked classic movies like \u201cFriday the 13th.\u201d For its latest thriller, \u201cDirective 8020,\u201d the inspiration appears to be \u201cAlien\u201d and \u201cThe Thing.\u201d You are 12 light years from Earth when your colony ship crashes on Tau Ceti f.
